Veilivo is a free hidden-role spy game for 3 to 8 players in the browser, in the spirit of Spyfall. Everyone gets a secret card with the same place and a role there, except the spy, who gets nothing. Take turns asking each other questions to find out who does not belong, before the spy works out where you are. Play with friends by invite link or practise against bots. How to play
Hold your card to peek at it: agents see the place and their role, the spy only learns that they are the spy. Whoever is asking picks a player and asks a question, typed or picked from ready-made ones. The answerer asks next, never straight back. Answer so the others can tell you belong without handing the place to the spy. Place names typed at the table are blacked out.
Catching the spy
- Anyone may accuse one player once a round. The clock stops and everyone except the accused votes; only a unanimous vote convicts.
- The spy may stop the clock at any moment and name the place from the board of locations.
- When time runs out, everyone points at a suspect at once.
- The spy scores 4 for naming the place or getting an innocent convicted and 2 for escaping. When the spy is caught or guesses wrong, every agent scores 1 and the accuser 1 more. Most points after the last round wins.
34 places, from a tea garden to a space station
Sixteen places from Turkey, among them a tea garden, a Bosphorus ferry, a hamam, a street market and the Grand Bazaar, and eighteen from around the world, from a night train to a submarine. Each has seven roles and its own cut-paper illustration. Pick the Turkey pack, the world pack, all of them or a fresh mix of 24 every round; three, five or eight rounds of four, six or eight minutes; and a second spy from seven players.
Friends or bots
Create a room and share the link, or practise with two to seven bots at three levels. Bots ask and answer in the room’s language, read what people type, accuse and vote on what they heard, and bluff as the spy. A dropped connection keeps your seat for 30 seconds.
