Murmur is a free multiplayer word deduction game that runs in the browser. Two teams, a grid of words and one spymaster per side giving cryptic one-word clues; the operatives try to find their agents before the other team does, and one wrong guess can reveal the assassin. Voice chat is built in.

How to play
Each round the spymasters see which words belong to which team. On their turn they give a clue and a number; their operatives discuss and guess. Correct guesses reveal your agents, a wrong one ends the turn or worse. The team that finds all its agents first wins.
Modes and rooms
- Casual has no time pressure; Blitz adds timers to the clue and guess phases.
- Share a room by link or QR code. Be a spymaster, an operative or a spectator, and change roles or teams at any time, even mid-game.
- Computer players at three skill levels can take seats, as spymasters or operatives.
- Rematch with the same teams or swapped sides, vote for the MVP, and read a turn-by-turn debrief after each game.
Voice chat in the game
Murmur has its own peer-to-peer voice chat with noise suppression running in the browser, so a team can talk without another app. In a wleeaf Play party, the party’s voice chat carries on into the game.
Languages and controls
The interface and the board words come in English and Turkish. On a keyboard, arrows move over the board, Space selects, G or Enter guesses and E ends the turn. It works on desktop and mobile, and can be installed as an app.
