Bikey: a downhill bike race through the Black Sea highlands
Bikey is a free downhill bicycle race in the browser for up to six riders. Race friends by invite link, let bots fill the grid, or practise on your own, down three long courses in the autumn highlands above the Black Sea: the tea terraces on a misty morning, a ridge above a sea of clouds at golden hour, and a cliff road to a lantern-lit harbour at blue hour. In English or Turkish.

How to ride
Pedal with W or the up arrow, brake with S or down, and steer with A and D or the arrows. Shift tucks you in for less air drag; hold Space and let go to hop. Brakes and steering share the grip of your tyres, so brake before a bend, not in it. Ride close behind someone to sit in their slipstream, then pull out and pass. Over a jump, match the bike to the slope for a clean landing and a little extra speed. R puts you back on the road.
Three courses
- Tea Road: four hairpins down the tea terraces, hazel groves with jumps, a wooden village and a hump-backed Ottoman bridge, then along the river to the finish.
- Sea of Clouds: cows on the summer pasture, three jumps along a windy ridge, a spruce forest trail, a ride into the cloud itself and a rope bridge by a waterfall.
- Lantern Coast: a castle on its rock, the cliff road above the sea, a tunnel, orchards lit by lanterns with ditches to hop, steep cobbled streets and the harbour quay.
Friends, bots and parties
Open a room and share the link: the host picks the course and how many bots ride, easy, normal or hard. After one countdown everyone leaves the line on the same tick; checkpoints give your split against the best, and finish times are measured to a fraction of a tick. Bots follow the racing line, sit in slipstreams and crash now and then; hard ones give a real race. Bikey is also a round in wleeaf Play parties.
Smooth online play
The server runs the race while your own bike moves the moment you press, and the others are drawn where they are now rather than a moment ago, so a rider beside you is really beside you. If your connection drops, your place waits 30 seconds.
