Kayivo: kart battle arena
Kayivo is a free kart battle game for 2 to 8 players in the browser, on a sunny harbour square in a whitewashed seaside town. Drive through item boxes, fire rockets, drop mines, drift for turbos and score the most knock-outs in three minutes. Play friends by link or bots at easy, normal or hard.

How to play
Drive with W and S or the arrows and steer with A and D. Tap Space to hop, and hold it while steering to drift: the sparks turn blue, orange, then pink, and letting go gives a turbo of that size. Fire with F or Shift.
Items and scoring
- Item boxes give rockets, a homing missile, mines, a machine gun, a shield or a turbo; a box comes back 6 seconds later.
- A rocket, missile or mine knocks a kart out at once; it comes back two seconds later with brief protection.
- Each knock-out is a point, knocking yourself out costs one. After three minutes, the most points wins.
The arena
The square has a terrace with ramps, two wooden kickers, boost pads looping the square, a fountain, market stalls and a boat on its trailer for cover. On touch screens, steer with a stick on the left and use fire and drift buttons on the right; gamepads work too.
