Arrowla: an archery contest at dawn
Arrowla is a free archery game in the browser. Up to eight archers stand side by side in a Japanese shooting hall, each with their own target down the range, and everyone shoots the same end at once. Draw the bow, hold your breath to steady it, read the wind in the banners and the falling cherry petals, and let go. Play with friends by invite link or against bots, in English or Turkish.

How to shoot
Press on the range and pull back to draw the string, or simply hold. The view leans in on your target as you draw; move to steer the sight onto the face. Its ticks are ten centimetres apart at the target. The bow sways as you hold and more as your arms tire. Hold Shift, the breath button or a second finger to steady it for a few seconds. Let go to loose: the camera rides behind your arrow and holds on the strike.
Wind and scoring
- Each end has its own wind, with gusts, the same for everyone at the same moment. The dial says how far it would carry your arrow right now.
- Gold scores 10, red 9, white 7, black 5, white 3 and blue 1. An arrow touching a line takes the higher ring.
- The best total wins. Ties go to more tens, then more nines, then the arrows closer to the centre.
Classic and Festival
Classic shoots fixed faces from 28 to 60 metres in three, four or six ends. The Festival brings a target gliding on a rail, a lantern swinging on its cord, paper balloons rising in the wind and a fan on a swaying bamboo pole: lead them, time them, pop them.
Friends, bots and parties
Open a range and share the link; up to eight archers join and the host can add bots. On your own, practise against one to seven easy, normal or hard bots. They raise, draw, hold their breath and loose like people, under the same wind. Arrowla is also a round in wleeaf Play parties.
Questions
Do I take turns?
No. Everyone shoots the same end at the same time, so even eight archers finish a match in a few minutes.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes, upright or sideways: press and pull down to draw, slide to aim, lift to loose.
