Lobivo: bowling in a tulip glasshouse
Lobivo is a free online bowling game for the browser. The lanes run down a long iron-and-glass pavilion in a palace garden, with tulip beds between them and green iron arches overhead. Everyone bowls at once on their own lane; the pins fall with real physics, and the ball skids on the oil and hooks in the dry back end. The game starts in the morning and by the last frame the lanterns are lit. Send friends the invite link, play bots at three levels, or play a round in a wleeaf Play party, in English or Turkish.

How to play
- A game is ten frames; in each you have two balls to knock down the ten pins. All ten with the first ball is a strike, with both a spare.
- A strike scores ten plus your next two balls, a spare ten plus your next ball. A strike or a spare in the tenth frame earns extra balls; 300 is a perfect game.
- Drag the ball sideways to choose where to stand, touch the lane where you want to aim, then swipe up from the ball. A faster swipe throws faster; curve the end of the swipe to put spin on the ball.
- A hooking ball into the pocket, just beside the head pin, carries for a strike. The oil wears as the game goes on, so you adjust your line.
- Everyone bowls each frame at the same time; the next frame starts when every lane has finished. If your shot clock runs out, the house bowls an easy ball for you.
Friends, bots and parties
Start a room and send the link: up to eight people, each on their own lane. Add bots on the empty lanes, at easy, normal or hard; hard bots find the pocket and rarely miss a spare. A friend who reloads the page is back on the same lane.
The glasshouse
Everything is drawn in the browser: the polished lanes mirror the lights and the pins, the roof’s iron throws stripes of shadow across the lanes, tulip petals burst at a strike, and on the other lanes bowlers in waistcoats and fezzes walk up and bowl. The clatter of the pins, a kanun’s runs and the birdsong are synthesised in the browser too.
Questions
Is it real ten-pin bowling?
Yes: ten frames, strike and spare bonuses, extra balls in the tenth, splits. The pins are worked out with real physics on every throw.
Can I play on a phone?
Yes, upright or on its side: you throw by swiping the ball up with your finger.
