How to play
Four cards go to the table, three face down and one face up. Everyone gets four cards, and four more each time hands run out, until the deck is gone. Play one card on your turn: match the rank of the top card to take the whole pile, or play a jack to take any pile.
Rules and scoring
- Taking a pile of exactly one card by matching it is a pişti: 10 points. A jack taking a lone jack is a jack pişti: 20 (a room rule).
- Most cards +3; each ace and jack +1; the 2 of clubs +2 and the 10 of diamonds +3.
- At the end of the deal, cards left on the table go to the last player who took a pile.
- Matches go to 51, 101 (default) or 151 points, or a single deal.
Partners, friends and bots
With four players and partners on, players opposite share their cards and pişti. The host picks the rules, the bot level (easy, normal, hard) and the timer (off, 10, 15, 20 or 30 seconds) and can move players to choose partners. Empty seats get bots when the match starts. Pistivo is also a round in wleeaf Play parties.
Controls
Hover a card to see what it would do (PİŞTİ! +10, take 5 cards, or play it down), then click or swipe up. Keys 1–4 pick a card and Enter plays it. An optional memory aid (H) shows the cards under the top and the ranks seen this deal.
What makes Pistivo different
The table is the teak deck of a Bosphorus ferry at sunset, with a tea glass, a simit and gulls; the pile sits on a tin tea tray. The court cards are people of the ferry, and a pişti sounds the ferry’s horn. The server checks every card, and nobody sees another hand or the face-down cards.
