Aggressive Times: a war on one road, through five ages

Aggressive Times is a free real-time strategy game for the browser in the spirit of the classic lane wars. Two bases stand at the ends of one road on an Anatolian plateau, under a twin-peaked volcano. Train soldiers with gold, send them down the road, guard your gate with turrets, and evolve from the Bronze Age to the Star Age before your rival does. Play a bot at three levels, invite friends with a link for one against one or two against two, or play a round in a wleeaf Play party, in English or Turkish.

How to play

Units leave your gate and fight the first enemy they meet. Each age has a melee soldier, a ranged one and a heavy: melee hold heavies, ranged shred melee from behind the line, heavies ride down ranged. Gold comes in every second and from every enemy you fell; experience comes from the damage you deal. With enough of both you evolve: new units, a stronger base, a new turret and a new special.

Ages, turrets and specials

Bronze: axemen, slingers and war chariots; a storm that calls down three thunderbolts.
Steel: swordsmen, bowmen and armoured lancers; ghost riders that sweep the road.
Powder: halberdiers, musketeers and war carts; a great bombard ball that bounces on.
Steam: hammermen, riflemen and steam walkers; a zeppelin raid. Star: lightblades, ray gunners and hover titans; a lance of light from the sky.
Three turret slots guard each gate, hold pulls your army back under them, and a front past the middle of the road plunders extra gold.

Friends, bots and parties

A match lasts seven minutes (twelve in a long one). At dusk the walls crack, turrets slow and plunder doubles; when time runs out, the base with more of its health left wins. Send a link to play friends, with bots filling empty commands, or practise against bots that counter what they see, save for the next age and aim their specials at your crowds.

It is a lane war in that spirit, with its own ages, units, rules, art, sounds and code, and it is made for playing with friends online.

Can I play on a phone?

Yes, best on its side: tap a unit to train it, tap the special and then the road to aim it.
