Shutshuut: a pink paintball player slides across a speedball field of inflatable bunkers, trading paint with a teal rival at a cake bunker; splats on the turf, floodlights behind

How to play

Move with WASD, sprint with Shift, jump with Space and crouch with C; sprint and crouch together to slide. Aim with the mouse, fire with the left button and look down the sights with the right. R reloads, 1 and 2 switch markers and G throws a paint balloon. A hundred points of paint and you are out for a few seconds; goggle hits count double, and paint wipes off when you keep out of trouble.

Markers and the shop

Arenas and modes

Bounce is a speedball field of inflatable bunkers, Timberfort a log fort in a pine wood at golden hour, Scrapyard a maze of stacked shipping containers, and Glowhall a blacklight warehouse where the paint glows. In free-for-all the most tags wins; in team tags orange plays teal; in the zone a moving ring scores for the side that holds it alone.

Friends, bots and parties

Open a room and share the link: the host picks the arena, the mode, the score to win, the length and how many bots join. On your own, practise against one to seven bots, easy, normal or hard. Bots buy markers, take cover, strafe, play the zone and fight each other too. Shutshuut is also a round in wleeaf Play parties.

Smooth online play

The server runs the match while your own player moves and shoots the moment you press, even on a far connection, and your paint is judged against what you saw. If your connection drops, your place waits 30 seconds.

Questions

Is it like Counter-Strike?

It borrows buying weapons between lives, but it is paintball: tokens, markers and paint, with its own arenas, sounds and code.

Can I play Shutshuut on a phone?

Yes, held on its side: a stick on the left, drag on the right to look, and buttons to fire, aim, jump, duck and reload. Gamepads work too.
